Does the interest form count as applying?
No. The interest form only asks us to send you information about FLAMA. It does not reserve a seat. To apply, complete the application. We accept applications until school starts.
Does FLAMA cost anything?
No. FLAMA is a tuition-free public school, and there is no fee to apply. There is no audition or entrance test. FLAMA is developing partnerships to provide free breakfast and lunch daily.
How does the lottery work?
If more children apply than we have places, we’ll hold a lottery on February 1, 2027. We’ll share results with families. Families offered a place will receive an enrollment packet to get ready for school.
What if we live outside the priority ZIP codes?
You can still apply. Families across Texas can apply. See the enrollment policy for how places are offered, or email info@flama.org with questions.

Is my child safe at FLAMA?
Visitors check in at the courtyard’s entry gate before entering the school. We’ll share arrival, pick-up, and safety information with families before school begins.
Do you support students with disabilities and English learners?
FLAMA welcomes children with disabilities and children who are learning English. Tell our enrollment team what support your child needs so we can explain our services and next steps.
